Balance Your Nervous System With Natural Ways Increase Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin And Endorphins
Part 1: What A Balanced Nervous System Looks And Feels Like
We will start by looking at the physiology of how our autonomic nervous system works and how the vagus nerve connects our major organs such as our brain, heart, gut and lungs.
Then we will explore how we can measure the health of our nervous system and how to observed the different emotional states of sympathetic nervous system activation (the stress response) and the parasympathetic nervous system (the nervous system).
Part 2: The Neurobiology of Flow States
Flow is one of the only experiences in life where all nearly all of our major pleasure-producing neurochemicals show up at once.
We will explore the spectrum of flow states, from micro flow to macro flow. Flow can be described as a state of immersion in an activity.
We can get micro flow experiences from anything where "lose ourselves" in an experience such as a great story in a television show or movie, or using alcohol, drugs or anything provides instant gratification to temporarily dull our stress and anxieties.
The problem is excessive use of screens, drugs and alcohol can over-stimulate the nervous system and lead to fatigue, depression and burnout.
That's why need to find natural ways to induce flow that don't require external substances or hyper-stimulation.
Part 3: Foundation Daily Habits For Nervous System Balance
We will briefly explore some foundation practices for nervous system balance such as exercise, fasting, sleep hygiene, visualization, breathwork, and meditation.
Then we will look at how to naturally increase 4 of our most important pleasure-inducing neurotransmitter: dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins.
4. Biohacking Dopamine: Improving Focus, Creativity And Motivation
Dopamine
5.: Biohacking Oxytocin: Improving Intimacy And Social Connection
Oxytocin
6. Biohacking Serotonin: Improving Mood And General Well-Being
